The stay was enjoyable and offered a spacious room, conveniently located just moments away from the sanctuary. I appreciated the superb buffet breakfast with a fantastic variety, including delicious pastries, cheeses, and cold cuts. The hotel was clean and had large public areas to relax after a long day of exploring. However, I wish there had been a kettle in the room for a cozy cup of tea after returning from the evening procession.

The hotel’s spacious lobby made our family feel welcomed. The breakfast spread was perfect for our kids, with plenty of options, including fresh fruits and tasty pastries. We also loved being within walking distance of the church, which made exploring easy with little ones.
For dads, it would be great to have more kid-friendly menu options at dinner.

Perfect location for pilgrims
We loved the close proximity to the Basilica! The breakfast was on point with a ton of options, and the staff, especially Amerigo, always made us feel welcome. The only hiccup was limited dinner choices in town. would’ve liked more nearby options. The A/C in our room was a lifesaver during the warm nights.

The spacious lobby created a welcoming atmosphere, complemented by friendly staff who offered excellent customer service throughout my visit. Breakfast stood out with its variety, particularly the fresh fruits and traditional local cakes, ensuring a delightful start to each day. However, the cleanliness could improve as I noticed some issues with the toilet flush button, and the breakfast sausages were not of the best quality. Additionally, limited options for cocktails at the bar were a bit disappointing.

The Santa Maria is ideally located just a two-minute walk from the shrine, making it very convenient for pilgrims. The rooms are spacious and equipped with clean bedding and modern bathrooms. I appreciated the excellent breakfast buffet, which offered a variety of options including fresh fruits, pastries, and a selection of warm dishes like scrambled eggs and bacon. The lobby area is large and welcoming, with a cozy atmosphere created by the staff's joyful demeanor, particularly the attentive reception team who provided exceptional customer service.
The beds were slightly firmer than my personal preference.
